These are the original bends for your intake manifold on 1600cc engines, OEM numbers 113 129 709G and 113 129 710D. They connect your manifold to the cylinder head and ensure a good gas-tight sealing surface. Because these parts are continuously exposed to heat, they often wear out first and tend to give up the ghost. Combine them with a new gasket and you'll have a really clean assembly.
