About us
We didn't start with a business plan.
We started with a T2 and too little space in the shed.
Air-cooled driving is a sickness, as any enthusiast knows. You start with one car, and before you know it, you have crates of parts, stacks of catalogs, and a wish list that grows instead of shrinks. At some point, other Bus and Beetle drivers started coming to us for parts. And that's how it rolled.
VintageDub is not a large, anonymous company. It's a family business, run by people who get their hands dirty in the engine themselves. We know exactly how frustrating it is when a part doesn't fit, arrives late, or is simply faulty.
How it all began
The first step
We sold the first parts and noticed there was a lot of demand. And that contact with other enthusiasts was just as enjoyable as the trade itself. That feeling has never left us.
VintageDub online
The webshop went live. Not with a thousand products, but with a carefully curated assortment for T2 and Beetle. Quality over quantity, that's how we want it.
From shed to event
From one meeting to multiple fairs and air-cooled events per year. Each time with a packed car, familiar faces, and new contacts. Behind the scenes, VintageDub runs on more than just one pair of hands. We keep it a family affair.
Growing stock, same mentality
Over 9,000 parts in the shop, and not everything is online. Our stock and network are larger than what you see. Doubt whether we have something? Just ask. We're happy to help.
What you'll find with us
OEM and reproduction parts from regular suppliers. Good for daily use, affordable, and readily available.
New Old Stock. Original parts that have never been fitted. Scarce, but interesting for the purists among us.
Selected and checked. Nothing we wouldn't install ourselves.
What we sell, we would also install on our own T2b without hesitation.
The community
Air-cooled driving is something you share with people who know the same sound and the same frustrations. We go to fairs and air-cooled meetings all year round, such as Airmighty, Hessisch Oldendorf, and smaller regional events. Sometimes as an exhibitor, sometimes just as enthusiasts. Walking around, catching up, observing. These contacts are at least as valuable to us as the parts themselves.
Did you see us somewhere? Come talk to us. Coffee's ready.
Have a question about a part? Feel free to ask.
You'll speak directly with us. No call center, no chatbot. Just someone who drives air-cooled themselves and knows what you're talking about.
From enthusiast to enthusiast.
