The oil strainer (111 115 175A) sits between the oil pump and the engine, catching metal particles and contamination before they enter the oil circuit. When rebuilding your 25 or 30 hp engine, this is a part you should replace immediately, as a clogged strainer causes poor oil circulation and rapid wear.
