These half-moon valve keys hold your cylinder head cover in place. For 25 and 30hp engines, you need sixteen pieces to secure everything tightly, and numbers 111 109 651 are the original parts used by VW. They don't wear out quickly, but if you're doing an overhaul or they are damaged, it's best to replace them all at once. Combine them with a new O-ring and valve cover gasket set for a cleanly finished operation.
