This magnesium crankcase originally connects to the left side of the engine and, together with the oil pan, forms the lower seal of the block. VW used this version as standard on T1, T2a, T2b, Type 3 and Karmann Ghia models (OEM 113 101 025F). A sturdy magnesium casting that you can clean and reuse if the seals are replaced. Combine this with a new crankcase sealing kit and oil pan gasket for a clean job.
