The camshaft controls the opening and closing of your valves, so it needs to be precisely right. This STD version is suitable for standard motorized T1, T2a and T2b, Type 3, Karmann Ghia and Type 181, and offers you the original timing and lift. Check your current camshaft for wear before installing it, as a worn-out one can lead to serious engine problems. Combine it with new camshaft tappets and valve adjusters for a complete overhaul.
