This 180mm pressure plate without anti-drag ring is the OEM part (111 141 025H) found in most air-cooled VWs - from the T1 to the T2b. It ensures your clutch engages properly and transfers power to the gearbox. When replacing the clutch - this part should be included. Combine this with a new drive disc and a brake cylinder for a complete clutch kit.
