This mount sits under your car and holds the bump stop in place - preventing your rear axle from dropping further than desired. Over the years - the rubber becomes brittle and everything shifts - resulting in a harsher ride and more noise. The original Volkswagen mount (OEM 131 501 189A) is easy to replace and will make your suspension tidy again. Combine this with a fresh rear bump stop for a complete restoration.
