This small half-moon key sits between the steering wheel and the steering column - preventing your wheel from turning when you tighten the bolt. The part consists of a hardened steel wedge-shaped block that fits into a groove in the shaft - ensuring your steering wheel remains firmly in place. Especially during restorations - it is important to replace this OEM number N 12 707 1 correctly - as a worn specimen can cause vibrations and play. Please combine this with new steering wheel bolts and a steering wheel hub washer for a complete finish.
