This ball joint with small taper and right-hand thread (OEM 131 415 812) is located in your T1 - Type 3 - and Karmann Ghia steering system and connects the steering tie rod to the steering pitman arm. The original design ensures the correct stroke movement and play in your steering. You will notice wear directly: more play in the steering or irregular wheel alignment. Combine this with the left-hand variant and you will have complete control over your power steering.
