This left-hand ball joint with a small taper fits the rear left of your T1 - Type 3 and Karmann Ghia and is identified by OEM number 131 415 811. The left-hand thread distinguishes it from the right-hand variant and ensures that the thread direction works with the rotation of your wheel. This is a classic part that is best replaced along with its right-hand counterpart and new steering components - as both are likely of a similar age.
