This grommet insulates your throttle cable where it passes through the engine cover and prevents worn cables and noise nuisance. A simple part - but without this rubber - your accelerator cable would lie directly against metal. For T1 - T2a - T2b - Karmann Ghia and Type 181. Combine this with a complete throttle cable set for a proper restoration.
