BBT Silver Weld sheet metal. This subframe supports your front seat cushions and needs to last for years without sagging or creaking. The original VW design (211 703 599D) is simple but solidly built, and if you're restoring, you can't get around it. Make sure to clean and treat it against rust before assembly, otherwise you'll have problems again within a few seasons. Combine this with a new upholstery set and your front seats will be as good as new.
