The operating rod for the front ventilation flap works hard on warm days: every time you press that lever for fresh air. This rubber rod ensures a smooth connection between the lever and the flap - and after decades - the rubber naturally hardens and rots. If the cable is stuck or no longer works at all - this part (OEM 211 259 285) is your salvation. Combine this with the metal mechanism and the mounting clamps for a complete repair of the ventilation system.
