Early convertibles had cooling grilles in the engine lid, offering the necessary air to cool the engine. Sedans had these grilles under the rear window. These highly sought after convertible engine lid grilles provide extra cooling on sedans and are perfect for high performance engines and a cool look too. Brand BBT provide the grilles to weld in early engine lids. Will fit all closed Beetle engine lids but the correct dimensions are for the 1958-1967 models.
