EMPI Trigger Shifter VW T2 T1 Quickshifter
EMPI Trigger Shifter VW T2 T1 | Short Shifter Quickshifter
With this EMPI Trigger Shifter, you get a short and direct shifting mechanism that provides much sharper shifts than the original gearbox. The lever is shorter and more direct, allowing you to go through gears faster and requiring less arm movement. This unit fits universally on T1 and T2 and is particularly popular with those who regularly drive and want to feel smooth shifts. Combine this with an upgrade to a better clutch cable for the complete shifting package.
Stylish design and ultimate ease of use The EMPI Trigger Shifter is not only functional but also an ornament for your interior. The gear stick features a chrome shaft and an ergonomic black handle with the well-known "trigger". This trigger serves as the reverse gear lockout: by pulling the lever up, you unlock the reverse gear. This prevents you from accidentally shifting into reverse while driving.

Expert installation tip: When installing a new gear stick, it is advisable to immediately check the condition of the shift rod guide and the coupling bushing (at the rear of the gearbox). When installing the EMPI shifter, apply sufficient grease to the ball and the base plate. Carefully adjust the shifter in neutral before finally tightening the bolts, ensuring all gears are smoothly accessible.
