This 17mm hose clamp is used everywhere you have coolant or heating hoses: radiator, thermostat, engine block. The screw type gives you good grip without crushing the rubber, and it fits all air-cooled VWs from T1 to T4. A handy thing to have a few spares of, as they tend to disappear. Combine this with other hose clamp sizes if you're overhauling your entire cooling system.
