This mounting bolt secures the door latch striker on your T1 door and is essential for a properly closing door. The part is subject to wear - and worn-out bolts cause play in the lock mechanism. VW used OEM part number 111 837 297 for this - a simple yet critical hardware solution. Combine this bolt with a new lock insert for a fully restored door mechanism.
