The rubber seal of the sliding window lock ensures that water and drafts do not enter through the lock. This wear part (OEM 281 847 737) is regularly replaced on T2a - T2b - and T3 models - especially if you open and close the window frequently. If you have damp spots around the window or hear drafts whistling - this is likely your answer. Combine this with a new rubber seal for the window itself for a truly watertight result.
