This buffer prevents the seat backrest from tilting too far back - protecting your interior from damage. VW used this rubber buffer block (211 881 865A) as standard between the backrest and the bodywork. After fifty years - it is often hardened or completely missing - causing your backrest to not align properly or to move unintentionally. This replacement part restores the original fit. Combine this with the seat backrest itself if you are already working on your seats.
