This slip ring sits between the steering wheel and the steering column - ensuring that the horn remains accessible even when the steering wheel is fully turned. In T3 models - these rings slowly wear out due to constant contact - so replacement is better than repair. Replacement part 321 419 661A is still the right choice if you want to avoid installation problems. Combine this with a new steering wheel knob while you're at it.
