The slip ring in your steering column ensures that the horn contacts continue to work properly when you steer. This small part wears out over time and can cause your horn to stop working or react unreliably. The original VW slip ring (113 415 661C) fits all classic air-cooled models and is still the best solution for a working horn. Combine this with a complete steering column seal kit so you have everything at hand.
