This is the short bulb holder for your dashboard lighting - the part that holds your bulb in place and clicks into the dashboard. VW used this in both the Beetle and the T2 up to T3 - OEM number 141 957 397A. If your dashboard lights are no longer working or are loose - this is likely the culprit. Combine this with a new bulb and your lighting will be in order again.
