This three-piece set consists of the correct pieces for your T1 and is mounted on the firewall, exactly as VW originally intended under OEM numbers 111 898 805 and 113 898 805. If you're already working in the engine compartment, combine this with a new bonnet seal to properly seal the underside as well.
