VW T1 Bus - T2 Bus - Beetle - KG | Plate behind pulley (black) | Type1 12/13/15/1600cc | 113 119 533
The pulley backing plate (OEM 113 119 533) is located between the crankshaft end plate and the pulley and mainly serves as a protective plate against sand and dirt. This black tinware plate is standard on the T1 - T2a - T2b - Karmann Ghia - and Type 181 and can fray or tear due to corrosion and wear. Replacement is quickest in combination with a new pulley and crankshaft end plate for a complete front-end engine overhaul.
