The main jet determines how much fuel flows into the carburetor via the main circuit at full throttle, directly impacting your mid-range power. A 170 jet is standard for many T1 and T2 models with standard engines, but you'll really notice it if you've installed a larger engine or heavily tuned your existing one. Solex, Brosol, and Empi carburetors use the same dimensions, making them easy to swap. Combine this with suitable needles and nozzles for a better-tuned mixture ratio.
