This small rubber cap seals the vacuum hose on the carburetor - allowing you to remove or clean it without air leaks. Over the years - the rubber becomes porous and breaks down - causing loose pieces to get into your carburetor. A simple replacement part that saves many connections - especially useful if you are overhauling your carb. Combine this with a new carburetor gasket set for a complete overhaul.
