The condenser (028 905 295B) is part of the ignition system and ensures that the current through the contact points is limited - so that your ignition coil does not overload. A faulty condenser can cause starting problems - irregular idling - and poor ignition under load. This component wears out along with your contact points - so replace them together for the best result. Combine this with a new set of contact points and a rotor for a complete service interval.
