These Bosch contact points (059 998 051B and 311 998 063) are the standard version for your ignition system and ensure reliable sparking in your T1 to T4, Beetle or Karmann Ghia. They naturally wear out, so check them annually and replace them if the gap widens to more than 0.4 mm or if you see that the contacts have turned black. Please combine this with a new rotor and condenser for a complete tune-up.
