These Bosch contact points (059 998 051B and 311 998 063) are the standard version for your ignition system and ensure reliable sparking in your T1 to T4 - Beetle or Karmann Ghia. They naturally wear out - so check them annually and replace them if the gap widens to more than 0.4 mm or if you see that the contacts have turned black. Please combine this with a new rotor and condenser for a complete tune-up.
