This O-ring ensures that your distributor remains watertight and prevents dirt and moisture from entering. It is a small but important seal that you should preferably replace preventively during maintenance, because once hardened, this ring will no longer seal properly. This replacement part (111 905 261) fits all air-cooled VWs from T1 up to Type 4. Combine this with a new distributor cap and rotor for a complete refresh of your ignition system.
