This simple plastic oil filler cap gasket sits under your oil cap and ensures that your engine oil does not leak from the top of the cap. After years in sunlight - these gaskets become brittle and hard - causing them to no longer seal properly. The replacement part is 059 103 487 and fits all air-cooled Volkswagens up to and including the Type 4. Combine this with a new oil cap itself for a complete and leak-proof assembly.
