This cover plate seals the opening between a Type 3 crankcase and a Type 1 engine block, useful when building a Type 3 engine into an older chassis. It prevents oil from leaking along the seam and keeps debris out of your engine bay. A simple part that makes a big difference for the neatness of your build.
