These rubber rings are located on the connections of your oil cooler and ensure that your oil does not leak past the fittings. After years of heat exposure, they become hard and porous, so replacement is a good idea if you are working on the cooling system anyway. You need two per car (OEM 311 117 151A). Combine them with a new oil cooler or adjust or replace the heater hoses while you're at it.
