This rubber insulator is located between the oil pressure switch and the engine block - preventing vibrations from being directly transferred to the contact. Without this rubber - your oil pressure sensor will work unreliably and you will get false warnings on the dashboard. The replacement part 021 119 957 is small but essential for stable readings. Combine this with a new oil pressure switch for a complete repair.
