This German valve clearance adjusting screw (OEM 111 109 451 / 043 109 451) is located on your cylinder head and is indispensable for fine-tuning the valve clearance on your air-cooled engine. With the correct clearance - you ensure proper exhaust gas emission and a smooth running engine. This screw gradually wears out and deserves regular inspection - especially on older engines. Combine this adjusting screw with a new gasket for your cylinder head - and you'll be fully prepared for a rebuild.
