This clamp holds the rocker shafts in place and at the same time ensures that the carbon brushes of your steering column remain securely seated. A small but hardworking part that you especially notice when it's gone: vibrations and poor electrical connections on the steering column. VW used this original clamp (111 109 425) on all T1 and Karmann Ghias with 25 and 30hp engines. Combine this with fresh carbon brushes and a new steering column tube for a complete restoration.
