These main bearings are suitable for all classic Type 1 engines and are among the most critical components for a reliable engine. They are pre-ground to standard size (STD) and have a clearance of 0.50 mm, which gives your engine optimal wear characteristics. Make sure to install them as a set with new piston rings and lower bearing shells for a complete overhaul. Combine this with a new crankshaft measurement to ensure everything fits perfectly.
