This dowel pin holds your main bearing shells in place and prevents them from sliding in the crankcase. It is a small but indispensable part when reassembling or overhauling your engine. VintageDub supplies this pin (OEM 111 101 123) for all air-cooled engines from T1 to T4. Combine this with a set of main bearing shells and new gasket material for a complete overhaul.
