This aluminum crankcase is made for 1200cc and 1300cc engines and fits all classic Volkswagens with this bore and stroke. The aluminum design helps with better heat dissipation than the original cast iron version, which is especially beneficial if you regularly drive harder. You'll find this crankcase under the engine of your T1, T2, Beetle, Karmann Ghia, or Type 181, so make sure you know which one you have before ordering. Combine this part with a new oil filter and fresh oil for complete engine maintenance.
