This O-ring ensures a good seal around the studs that hold the crankcase halves together. After decades, rubber can dry out and break, leading to oil leakage. The original part number 113 101 125 is still the correct reference for all air-cooled engines from T1 to Type 3. Combine this with a new crankcase gasket set for a complete sealing job.
