This half-moon key (Woodruff key) ensures that your crankshaft and gearbox remain perfectly synchronized. OEM number 111 105 213 is the correct size for the larger engines in your T1 up to T4. Without this key - everything will slip apart - and your car will be useless. Combine this with a new crankshaft seal - and you're all set for the next thousand kilometers.
