The cam follower ensures that the camshaft precisely follows the cam profile. This standard version (OEM 113 109 309C) fits T1 - T2a - T2b - Type 3 - Karmann Ghia - and Type 181. Wear here quickly leads to engine noise and power loss - so it's wise to replace this part when removing the cylinder head. Combine this with new cam screws and pushrod tubes for a complete overhaul.
