VW T1, T2, Beetle, KG | Camshaft End Plug, Rubber (not 25/30HP) | 040 101 157
This rubber end plug (040 101 157) seals the opening in the crankcase where the camshaft emerges, ensuring watertightness and dust protection. It fits all standard engines except the 25 and 30 hp versions. Replace this plug during any engine maintenance where you open the crankcase, as the rubber hardens after years and loses its sealing properties. Combine this with a new end plug for the other side of the camshaft and fresh gaskets around the crankcase cover for a complete overhaul.
