These main bearings are the heart of your engine block: they support the crankshaft and, together with the cylinder block, determine how stiff and reliable your engine runs. With these standard dimensions (Ca: 0.75, Cr: 1.25), they are well-suited for the original Type 1 configuration and fit T1, T2a, T2b, T3, Karmann Ghia, and Type 181. Make sure to install them with a new crankshaft or check your current crankshaft for wear before installation, as a worn crankshaft will destroy new bearings in no time. Combine this with a new gasket and seal set for a clean job.
