These chromoly connecting rods are preferred for serious rebuilds of your air-cooled engine - especially if you're looking to generate more power. With a length of 5.325 inches and equipped with standard VW connecting rod bearings (AA) - they provide the strength you need without having to completely rebuild the engine. They fit all classic VW engines from T1 through Type 3 - so whether you have a Beetle - Transporter - or Karmann Ghia - these are suitable. Combine them with a new crankshaft and pistons for a complete engine overhaul.
