This connecting rod bolt holds your crankshaft and connecting rod together, so you want it to be secure. The replacement part from VW (113 105 425B or 056 105 425C, depending on your engine) is designed for the 13/1600cc engines in T1, T2, T3, Beetle and KG. Always replace them as a set, as used bolts lose their preload. Combine these with a new connecting rod and crankshaft bearing set for a reliable engine.
