This release bearing is located between your clutch plate and the pressure plate - ensuring smooth engagement of your clutch pedal. It is the unguided type - as originally found in T1 - T2a - T2b - Type 3 - Karmann Ghia - and Type 181. When replacing your clutch - this is a logical replacement - especially if you're removing the disc anyway. Combine this with a new clutch kit for the complete picture.
