This reinforced side plate replaces the thin original plate of your swing axle gearbox. Under heavy load and regular driving - such an original plate eventually starts to flex - leading to oil leaks and play in the drivetrain. This heavy-duty version uses superior materials and thickness to definitively solve that problem. Perfect for those who drive their T1 or Beetle daily and want to avoid maintenance hassles. Combine this with our complete side plate sealing kit for a truly clean job.
