This original ball bearing is located at the front of your secondary shaft and ensures that the shaft rotates smoothly without play. In a T1 or Karmann Ghia where you drive a lot of miles, this bearing will wear out, so an NOS (New Old Stock) item (OEM 111 307 375) is invaluable for a reliable gearbox. Combine this with a new bearing at the rear, and your set will be complete.
