This double-tapered bearing is located at the end of your secondary shaft and is secured with only four bolts, characteristic of the early 4-bolt construction. The OEM number 113 311 219A ensures you have exactly the right bearing for T1, Type 3, Karmann Ghia, and Type 181. When replacing this bearing, it's always smart to also replace the front part (the single-tapered bearing) and the gearbox seal.
